Day -2: Initial Body Stats

Short and sweet reminder of where I am at right now.

Body stats:

Height: 5′10″
Weight: 255 pounds
Body Fat: Too Much… I mean LOTS!
(don’t have an accurate fat % measurement, but will be getting it tested for accuracy on Monday)

Measurements:

Chest: 49″
Upper Arm (L): 15″
Upper Arm (R): 14.5″
Waist: 49″
Hips: 45″
Thigh (L): 36.5″
Thigh (R): 36.5″

I don’t anticipate too much of a daily change to warrant taking measurements daily, so I am committed to doing it every seven days, starting a week from this Sunday.

I guess before I sign off for the day, I should be writing out my goals here so they are fixed in stone too.

One thing I always tell people is you NEED to crystallize your goals. You can’t just say generic things and expect to reach them or for them to materialize.

For instance, in the case of weight loss and body transformations… me saying something like “I want to lose 20 pounds” does not cut it.

There is no quantifying number in that statement.

So here is the goal I have set for myself:

“I will lose 60 pounds in the next 12 weeks so I break out of the 200lb club (which will be the first time under 200 for me in the last 15 years)”

“I will treat myself to a vacation in Mexico and will proudly walk shirtless down the sandy beaches of the Mayan Riviera to show off my new body and lifestyle in March of 2009 (which is just over 3 months from now)”

“I will post pictures of that vacation on this blog along with videos before April 2009 for everybody to see as proof that, YES I did it!
